Alexandra Arts in Rugby held a “Showdown” recently,
and invited six artists to each produce an artwork in
two hours.

There was a variety of media amongst the artists for
the visitors to the arts venue to watch during the evening,
and we all found it great fun as well as a challenge!

I chose to paint a Puffin from the Farne Islands, which I
saw on my recent holiday there, and painted it in acrylic
on canvas board, finishing just in time.
The works were lightheartedly judged, and I was delighted
to win!
