Recently I visited Ryton Woods and Pools, along with friends from The Wildlife
Art Society International.
We had an enjoyable day, watching water birds which are busily nesting and
also defending their spaces from each other - one mute swan male was seeing
off several geese which were encroaching on the space where his mate had
built a huge stick nest..
I hope to get the chance to visit later when the young cygnets are visible.
