My annual trip to Northumberland in the spring coincided with some wonderful
weather, and I was able to visit the Farne Islands and enjoy some hours watching
the many seabirds.

My favourite are always the Puffins, and I was able to gather plenty of picture
reference of them and the other birds, both from the boat, which sailed close
under the cliffs, and once landed on the Inner Farne Island.

Watching the many species, observing their behaviour, and the sounds (& smells!)
of the colonies all adds to the experience, and stores up many ideas for future
work.
